HR Generalists are responsible for collaborating with leaders to build and develop a strong workforce. At Famous, our Associates are the most important part of our organization. This role supports this vision mainly through recruitment and workforce development. This position allows for a hybrid work model, with an in-office expectation in Akron, OH.

Requirements

  • Human Resources, or related, experience
  • Internal customer service mindset
  • Ability to use computer
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Strong communication and teamwork

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree Human Resources or related field
  • Recruiting experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Experience in ADP WorkForce Now and JazzHR

Responsibilities

  • Build meaningful relationships with associates to cultivate a safe, trustworthy and supportive space
  • Understand managers’ staffing goals, develop strategy to deliver, then execute
  • Support managers through performance evaluation and associate development
  • Simplify complex situations for associates
  • Onboard new associates
  • Address personnel Issues and conduct investigations when necessary
  • Perform some full-cycle recruiting
  • Keep Famous compliant with laws and regulations
  • Car travel to assigned branch location(s) – approximately one trip every 1-2 weeks
