The Human Resources Generalist / Associate HR Business Partner plays a foundational role in supporting Alkami’s people strategy by partnering with business leaders, employees, and the broader HR team to deliver core human resources programs and initiatives. This role bridges tactical HR operations with early-stage strategic HR partnership, serving as a trusted resource for managers and employees while building capability to grow into a full HRBP role. Reporting to a Senior Director, HR Business Partners, this position supports the HRBP team by assisting with employee relations, onboarding, talent processes, data analysis, and change management efforts. The role also collaborates closely with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and HR Operations) to ensure consistent and effective delivery of HR programs.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of Human Resources experience, including at least 1 year in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HRBP support capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to build rapport across all levels.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Project management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset; comfortable using HR data to identify trends and insights.
  • Proactive and curious learner with a desire to grow into a strategic HRBP role.
  • Passion for culture, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SaaS, FinTech, or high-growth environments preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR systems such as Workday or equivalent platforms is a plus.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives and the HRBP/COE partnership model.
  • Serve as a primary contact for employees and front line managers, providing guidance on policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Assist in implementing performance management, goal-setting, and talent development processes.
  • Partner with the HRBP team to support organizational design, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives and projects.
  • Provide hands-on support with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience.
  • Help identify trends through HR data (turnover, engagement, performance) and contribute to insights and recommendations.
  • Support employee relations investigations, document findings, and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
  • Participate in change management and culture initiatives that promote engagement and alignment.
  • Collaborate with HR COEs to implement enterprise-wide programs (e.g., compensation cycles, learning initiatives, culture activities, wellness events.)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all administrative tasks across HR initiatives.
  • Assist with audits and ensure all HR records are accurately maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, labor laws and regulations, and manage required reporting (e.g., EEO, AAP, OSHA, etc.)
