HR Generalist

About The Position

We're looking for an HR Generalist to join our team. This role is the connective tissue between our HQ team and our restaurants. You will work directly with General Managers, handle the full spectrum of HR operations, and keep our office running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in an HR generalist or HR admin role
  • Proficiency with UKG (required)
  • Experience with an ATS platform for recruiting and candidate tracking
  • Comfortable working directly with operations leaders and frontline teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage priorities
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits

Nice To Haves

  • Payroll experience is a bonus, not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire onboarding process for new hires across locations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (I-9, W-4, F-1, Certifications)
  • Handle unemployment claims and support workplace investigations
  • Administer and explain the company benefits program to employees
  • Create, edit, and maintain HR documents, templates, and policies
  • Process payroll or support payroll workflows (a plus, not required)
  • Support hiring across multiple restaurant locations
  • Post job openings,, screen candidates, and coordinate interviews using an ATS platform
  • Partner with GMs to understand staffing needs and fill on a timely basis
  • Build relationships with General Managers and Team Members through regular site visits
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR questions and people-related issues at the store level
  • Travel outside of the DMV area as needed to support hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives
  • Respond to inbound customer emails and general HQ correspondence
  • Scan and route incoming mail
  • Coordinate logistics and provide general support to the HQ team as needed
