About The Position

The HR Generalist is responsible for applying all HR policies and company guidelines and ensuring employees adhere to company standards. Transdev is proud to offer: Compensation package of $53,000 (minimum) to $66,000 per year (exempt). Benefits include: Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks Sick days: 5 days Holidays: 12 days; 9 standard and 4 floating Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability. Requirements

  • Valid authorization to work in the United States is required.
  • High school Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, hiring and employee relations required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, Internet software, e-mail, and/or database software required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Must be hospitable, guest/customer service oriented, and be willing to serve the needs of passengers.
  • Must undergo a pre-employment drug testing.
  • Must sign a background check release.
  • Must complete and sign the employment application in its entirety.
  • An unjustified refusal to supply requested information or a falsification of information will result in the elimination of the applicant for consideration for employment.
  • Must provide a complete and verifiable employment history and must include the past 10 years of employment, when applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruitment and onboarding, compliance, benefits, and leave, performance and talent management.
  • Handles all administrative tasks including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, and contribute to the development of policies.
  • Administer employee leaves and accommodations, maintaining accurate internal records and conducting regular audits for accuracy.
  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
  • Establish/maintain the accuracy of employee records by both manual data entry and auditing the database for all employee record changes including, but not limited to status changes, pay rate changes, address changes, new hires, terminations, tax withholdings, and direct deposit information.
  • Participate in projects as assigned by the Human Resources Director or other leadership.
  • Develop, execute, and evaluate innovative and engaging employee. communications campaigns and materials across multiple channels.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information.
  • Maintains and reviews changes for proper authorization and adherence to policy including compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
