The Position: We are looking for a HR Generalist, who is willing to embrace McKinleys mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The HR Generalist is responsible for helping facilitate all necessary Human Resource functions. Compensation and Benefits: The pay range were offering is $23.00- $28.00 hourly depending (Based) on experience. Working knowledge of labor and related laws (e.g. COBRA, Wage and Hour laws, Fair Labor Standards Act, Equal Employment regulations, OSHA, Workers Compensation, American with Disabilities Act, FMLA, CFRA, etc.). Microsoft Office and Google Suites Strong Typing Skills Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills Strong File Management Skills Ability to Learn Relevant HR Software Maintain High Level of Confidentiality Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening Ability to commute to various sites on campus Ability to lift at least 10 lbs for filing Ability to work with constant interruptions DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index Insurability Under Corporate Automobile Insurance Key Responsibilities: Administers leaves of absence for Agency employees; receives initial notification from employee or supervisor; obtains appropriate documentation; designates leave (e.g. FMLA/CFRA/PDL, etc.); ensures written documentation/communication with employee regarding leave, disability and benefits information; tracks timeline and communicates with employee and manager as necessary. Act as first point of contact for EDD Oversees workers compensation claims management: receives/follows-up on initial notification from employee or supervisor; obtains appropriate documentation; communicates with employee, occupational clinic, treating physician, third party administrators, as needed. Ensures initial reports of injury for workers compensation claims are completed by employee and supervisors; submit claims to insurance carriers in a timely manner; maintains communications with injured employee and carrier. Provides advice and support to supervisors and employees regarding laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and agency practices related to employee relations matters working collaboratively to ensure consistent interpretation and application. Assist HR leadership in the management of employee grievances through resolution by providing guidance and consultation regarding problem-solving, dispute resolution, compliance, and risk avoidance. Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource records, personnel files, and other documentation. Maintain records of personnel transactions: hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting Making initial offers of employment to prospective employees as needed Recruit, interview, test (as needed) and select employees to fill vacant positions Assist in performing reference and background checks for potential employees Ensure that all assigned applicants have completed pre-employment requirements such as physical examinations, Live Scan and driving records, so they may begin employment. Arrange for applicants to take physical examinations and Live Scan fingerprints Become certified to take Fingerprint Impressions and learn how to do so Ensure that all documentation is completed and updated in accordance to Community Care Licensing policy and regulations Input and maintain personnel information into HR Software and ensure accuracy with employee personnel files Post openings with professional organizations and in other position appropriate venues Other related duties as needed Why Should You Apply?
