About The Position

The HR SOURCE is currently partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a skilled Human Resources Generalist. This is a direct -hire opportunity with a client that values compliance, accuracy, and consistent operational support. Position Overview The HR Generalist will support the internal People and Culture department in day -to -day operations. This role is essential for upholding compliance and consistency across the organization. The selected candidate will manage a wide range of HR functions—including employee relations, onboarding, recruitment coordination, and payroll support—while ensuring adherence to California and federal employment regulations for the client’s multi -state operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist or administrative HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of California labor laws and general HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or fabrication environments is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM -CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR questions, supporting employees and leadership with professionalism and consistency.
  • Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding, orientations, and compliance training; ensure all documentation and acknowledgments are completed accurately.
  • Maintain personnel files in physical and digital formats and support HRIS updates, position changes, and data accuracy.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including posting roles, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
  • Support timekeeping, review missing punches, and help maintain accurate attendance and meal/rest break compliance for California standards.
  • Provide payroll support under HR direction and assist with benefits enrollment tracking, open enrollment, and employee communication.
  • Assist with leave of absence paperwork, status updates, and follow -through.
  • Help maintain compliance with California and federal labor laws, as well as multi -state requirements; support audits, reporting, and HR compliance initiatives.
  • Assist in planning employee engagement activities, recognition efforts, and culture -related initiatives.
  • Support workforce planning tasks and the preparation of reports and materials for leadership and audits.
  • Stay informed on HR best practices and regulatory changes; support investigations and help resolve employee matters when needed.
