About The Position

Nightwing is seeking an HR Generalist to work across all areas of HR. We are looking for someone with a collaborative and customer-focused mindset who can handle a wide range of HR activities, including onboarding, performance management, reporting, benefits, compliance, and basic employee relations. In this role, you will be critical to the success of the entire HR team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or relevant field; HR certification a plus, but not required.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • 1-3 years of experience in a variety of HR activities, Government contracting experience preferred.
  • Team-centric and customer-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate with the HR team, employees, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency and ability to successfully prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with HR systems; experience with Workday preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Generate reports on headcount, turnover, and other HR metrics.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ongoing updates in Workday.
  • Prepare separation packages and other documentation related to involuntary terminations.
  • Ensure HR content on intranet remains fresh and engaging.
  • Complete verifications of employment, security investigations, and other employee verifications.
  • Assist with Global HR processes, including deployment preparation and payroll.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and help guide employees to appropriate resources during their onboarding process.
  • Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Partner with corporate IT, talent acquisition, and other internal stakeholders to successfully onboard new hires and offboard separating employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews with employees who are voluntarily separating.
  • Assist in resolving minor employee concerns and escalate matters as needed to the appropriate HR Business Partner.
  • Coordinate with learning and development to align staff with training and other firm resources that support career development and progression.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding firm policies, procedures, and resources.
  • Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Support the performance management process.
  • Manage compliance training requirements, including tracking completion and following up with employees who are delinquent.
  • Assist in audits and documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal firm policies and local labor laws.
  • Maintain the highest confidentiality in all employment and firm matters.
  • Support special HR projects, as needed.
