About The Position

The HR Generalist will be experienced and self-directed with 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, bringing a solid understanding of employment law and demonstrating exceptional organization, discretion, and responsiveness. This role requires a professional who is highly comfortable working independently, managing day-to-day HR operations, and serving as a reliable resource for employees and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR generalist role required.
  • Proven experience working within robust HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred).
  • Effective project management abilities.
  • Strong professional and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to problem solve independently utilizing appropriate resources and tools.
  • Ability to collaborate with management and senior leadership.
  • Results driven with a proven track-record of meeting and exceeding defined goals.
  • Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
  • Must be able to work with highly sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to think strategically, weighing options and making informed recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid, unrestricted Colorado driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures.
  • Respond independently and professionally to requests and concerns.
  • Offer guidance with performance and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS accurately and timely.
  • Process and complete verifications of employment.
  • Manage unemployment claims.
  • Administer and track workers’ compensation claims.
  • Provide backup for payroll processing.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the employee handbook.
  • Draft and revise job descriptions.
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment processes.
  • Administer benefits changes and employee communications.
  • Manage leaves of absence, including FMLA and CO FAMLI.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding coordination.
  • Support new hire orientation processes.
  • Support system optimization and process improvements.
  • Generate reports and analyze workforce data as needed.
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support internal audits and documentation requirements.
  • Other HR duties as assigned.
