About The Position

The human resources generalist is responsible for performing various HR-related duties and works closely with senior management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, training, policy implementation, and employment law compliance. S/he will work autonomously in partnership with the HR Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Attention to detail for handling administrative tasks accurately.

  • Ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems (ADP).

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition; morale and training and development.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of HR.
  • Data metrics
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, ex. Anti-harassment training and Core Training.
  • Facilitates new hire orientation.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
