About The Position

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for all human resource activities including but not limited to recruitment and interviewing of new employees, onboarding & orientation, maintenance of applicant tracking system(s), daily employee and management inquiries requested of the Human Resources department. Further, the Human Resources (HR) Generalist formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Ability to analyze situations and solve problems at strategic and tactical levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Practiced at organization and planning
  • Employ Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Maintains composure and operates with emotional intelligence
  • Ethical reasoning and decision-making
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Receptive and responsive to feedback
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Human Resources accredited certified (PHR, SHRM, etc.)
  • Two years of experience working within a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and interview/facilitate interview(s) based on the needs of the organization, determining qualified candidates for respective roles
  • Analyze labor markets, competitor activity, and compensation trends in collaboration with the Employment Manager and Senior Director of Human Resources
  • Coordinates with the Human Resources Coordinator to ensure pre-employment and onboarding activities are completed and compliant with organization standards
  • Host and/or attend local recruitment fairs/events to attract and connect with talent and qualified candidates
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Monitor Human Resources emails; quickly accessing needs, respond, and or forward accordingly
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation, while assisting with updating and communicating changes regarding the Employee Handbook.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Employment Manager and/or Senior Director of Human Resources
