About The Position

Working closely under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR Generalist provides day-to-day human resources support for our Grand Island, NE and Thomson, GA locations. This role focuses on the tactical execution of HR functions—from processing payroll in ADP to facilitating the hiring process. You will serve as a key resource for our production teams, ensuring that our HR operations run smoothly across both sites. Requirements

  • Education/Experience: 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Systems: Proficiency with ADP is a must-have.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with both the production floor and management.
  • Team Player: A desire to work in a collaborative environment where you report to and learn from an experienced HR Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Execute bi-weekly payroll for both NE and GA locations using ADP, ensuring data integrity for hours and deductions.
  • Manage the processing of all wage garnishments (child support, tax levies, etc.), ensuring compliance with legal withholding limits and timelines.
  • Ensure all benefit elections, changes, and terminations are entered properly into the system and synced with payroll to prevent deduction errors.
  • Maintain all employee records and HRIS updates, ensuring files are audit-ready at all times.
  • Support the HR Manager and Plant Managers by posting job requisitions, screening candidates, and conducting and scheduling interviews for open roles.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all paperwork and orientation tasks are completed for both sites.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Assist the HR Manager in documenting workplace investigations and maintaining compliance with NE and GA state labor laws.
  • Act as a "culture champion" on the floor to identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and boost retention.
  • Be the "face of HR" on the floor in Grand Island while maintaining a strong virtual support presence for the Thomson, GA team.
  • Organize and lead key on-site events such as Culture Week, Town Halls, and holiday celebrations for both the NE and GA teams.
  • Assist in the rollout of "Rock" initiatives and prepare data for SLT L10 meetings as requested by the HR Manager.
