We deliver quality products that perform in demanding environments. Valto is searching for a Hr Generalist to be based out of our Florence, KY facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, and dotted line to the VP, Human Resources this person will manage a broad range of human resources functions, serving as a key point of contact for employees and managers. This role involves supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, fostering a positive workplace culture, and contributing to strategic HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for people and a solid understanding of HR best practices. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fields, be passionate about continuous improvement, challenging the status quo and seeking an opportunity to drive impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • 3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a generalist role.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws (e.g., FLSA, EEOC, FMLA) and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., ADP highly preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution expertise.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and payroll software is a plus.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, performing background checks, and facilitating onboarding for new hires.
  • Key point of contact to answer employee benefits programs, partner with the Payroll Specialist to process plant payroll, and own and manage leave management within the Florence Plant (e.g., FMLA, ADA accommodations).
  • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, performance management, and disciplinary actions. Escalating to Plant Manager and VPHR as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Enforce company HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement.
  • Serve as HR point of contact and first-line support for all Human Resources functions.
  • Investigate and administer disciplinary procedures as needed.
  • Support intellectual capital processes, compensation analysis, and succession planning.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with labor laws, conduct audits, and prepare reports for management.
  • Act as a resource for employees on HR-related inquiries, promoting a supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Assist with special projects, such as HR metrics reporting, employee engagement surveys, and diversity initiatives.
