About The Position

MS Companies, a leader in technology driven workforce solutions, is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our employees by managing unemployment claims, leave administration, terminations, benefits, and employee relations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR, preferably in staffing, workforce solutions, or a client-facing environment.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, including FMLA, unemployment regulations, and multi-state compliance (experience with staffing industry regulations is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with employees, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-driven setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: SHRM &/Or HRCI certifications are preferred, not required.
  • Experience supporting employee relations investigations and developing HR training is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to unemployment claims on behalf of MS Companies, attend hearings as required, and maintain accurate tracking of unemployment activities to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Oversee the full cycle of Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and other leave programs for employees across multiple sites, ensuring proper documentation and seamless communication.
  • Manage employee terminations and resignations for both internal staff and client-assigned personnel, obtaining necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to MS Companies' policies and client requirements.
  • Partner with HR leadership to create and update HR training programs tailored to MS Companies' workforce solutions, assisting in the delivery of training to enhance employee and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, support open enrollment processes, and ensure employees understand the benefits offered through MS Companies.
  • Assist with employee relations issues and investigations as needed, supporting a positive work environment for MS Companies' staff and client-site employees while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Maintain HR data records and generate reports as needed.
