About The Position

Responsible for providing overall generalist support for the Human Resources function in a manner which achieves plant and departmental goals and objectives and satisfying the needs of the employees. Major responsibilities include recruitment, employee relations, training, and overall compliance with applicable Federal and State Statues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment required; 2-3 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state and national labor laws.
  • Experience in candidate sourcing and selection.
  • Experience delivering training.
  • Strong planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • SAP and Success Factors experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides HR support with talent acquisition, hourly staffing, compensation, benefits, training and development, payroll, records management, safety and employee relations.
  • Plans, prepares documents and conducts HR related functions from onboarding through the full life cycle of employment.
  • Understands all HR policies, procedures, and guidelines; communicates and reinforces organization values.
  • Enhances department and site reputation by initiating and supporting activities that drive engagement through the facility.
  • Builds a constructive relationship with employees and supervision within the plant.
  • Acts as general counsel and provides assistance to employees and supervision on human resource and job-related issues.
  • Conducts internal investigations and assists with progressive discipline process and terminations.
  • Coordinates staffing for all hourly positions, including recruiting, onboarding, coordinating internal job postings and fairs, layoffs, and staffing with temporary staffing agencies.
  • Organizes and leads the onboarding process for all new employees.
  • Maintains complete and accurate records and files including personnel files for all hourly employees.
  • Assists in the administration of attendance and leaves of absence, including FMLA, STD, LTD and Worker's Compensation.
  • Maintains the HRIS system (SAP) for all employees including new hire and change in status information.
  • Coordinates unemployment benefits and claims.
  • Performs job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions.
  • Completes other miscellaneous projects or duties assigned.
