About The Position

The HR Generalist position is a direct hire role focused on managing various human resources functions including recruitment, payroll, onboarding, and employee support. The role ensures compliance with HR laws and maintains accurate HR records while also assisting in planning company events and managing employee leave requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management (SHRM-CP preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on hiring and employee relations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Oversee the payroll process, including preparing and processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions, processing new hire paperwork, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with planning and executing company events, such as holiday parties, team-building activities, and company outings.
  • Provide support to employees on HR-related issues, such as benefits enrollment, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to HR, payroll, and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including employee files, benefits records, and payroll records.
  • Manage employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant laws while maintaining accurate records and timely communication with employees regarding their leave status.
