About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions plays a crucial role in managing the daily functions of the HR department. This includes responsibilities such as hiring, administering pay and benefits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. The position supports HR initiatives across the Americas and reports to the Head of Human Resources for the region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training and assessments.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Administer new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
