About The Position

The position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around payroll processing, administration of compensation and benefits, and support for talent acquisition and employee development. The role requires maintaining accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, and promoting HR programs to foster a positive workplace environment. Additionally, the position includes tasks such as onboarding new employees, updating HR policies, and coordinating employee engagement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience.
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of state and federal employment regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strong customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to take initiative to complete projects, tasks, and assignments.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ADP.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct payroll processing including compiling payroll data and tracking the bi-weekly payroll cycle.
  • Review computed wages and correct errors to ensure payroll accuracy.
  • Maintain records of vacation and sick leave.
  • Prepare detailed payroll reports for the accounting department.
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes as needed.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and organize training and development initiatives.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Review and update HR and employee-related forms for compliance and consistency.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies.
  • Maintain employee files and records in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Create employee communication materials for HR to distribute to employees.
  • Assist with updating corporate records and policies such as the employee handbook and checklists.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Coordinate open enrollments and training for employee benefit programs.
  • Respond to HR-related inquiries.
  • Create and initiate employee engagement plans.
  • Organize team-building activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
