About The Position

The HR Generalist at Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to both salaried and hourly employees, ensuring effective communication and administration across all functions of the facility. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee development, employee relations, policy interpretation, compensation administration, and legal compliance, all aimed at supporting the organization's growth and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Representative role in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Experience in change management and implementation of change projects.
  • Familiarity with recruitment, employee relations, and employee communications.
  • Knowledge of basic HR laws and applications.
  • Experience in employee relations, coaching, and performance management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mediation, arbitration, and grievance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide flawless execution of the People strategy processes to attract, train, and retain employees.
  • Support Dreyer's initiatives such as the Management and Leadership Principles and HR Market Business Strategy.
  • Execute workforce planning processes including recruitment, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure a culture and working environment that is open, empowering, fair, and equitable.
  • Organize and implement training and development programs that meet team and individual goals.
  • Define candidate profiles to ensure the right talent is selected for business requirements.
  • Ensure equitable compensation based on performance and market data.
  • Utilize performance and talent management systems to drive achievement of company goals.
  • Provide counsel and guidance to leadership on people management and development issues.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, and unions.
  • Promote open communication and honest feedback among employees.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and factory safety goals.
