As an HR Generalist II, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees and leaders through complex employee relations matters, strategic HR initiatives, and day-to-day HR operations. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor, providing guidance that aligns with our organizational values, policies, and culture. This role requires someone who can operate independently, think creatively, and collaborate across teams to drive positive employee experiences. Success in this role will come from your ability to adapt quickly, navigate ambiguity, and contribute to a high-performing, fast-paced environment. A caregiver in this role works part-time days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
  • Five years of progressive HR experience OR an associate degree and an additional two years of related experience, including project management experience OR A High School Diploma/GED and an additional four years of related experience, including project management experience
  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws (EEO, FLSA, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, NLRA, etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking, relationship building, communication, group facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system and, in some locations, off-site.
  • Ability to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a confidential advisor on performance management, corrective actions, performance improvement plans, right of reviews and investigations.
  • Interpret and advise on policies and programs encompassing all aspects of Human Resource Management to all levels of caregivers.
  • Conduct employee investigations and facilitate the Right of Review process.
  • Provide support in communicating human resources center of excellence (COE) programs and their implementation to all employees.
  • Counsel client groups and facilitates conflict resolutions.
  • Support regulatory practices to promote fair and equitable treatment of employees.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (Joint Commission, CMS, ODH)
  • Determine development needs of specific segments of the organization and may provide developmental training.
  • Provide support in workforce planning to include partnering with talent acquisition and compensation to review requests such as promotions, equity reviews and job reclassifications and providing recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor compliance with organizational initiatives (e.g., compliance modules, flu, engagement, etc.)
