About The Position

As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Specialist II will be responsible for interviewing and training employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, assisting in policy and procedure development; and processing, verifying, and maintaining, and developing documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations. The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: Oversee day to day HR function for team members. Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants. Lead new hire orientation and onboarding process Record data for each employee, including such information as hire date, absences, counseling issues, and dates of and reasons for terminations. Perform administrative functions such as payroll processing, checking discrepancies with time, handling filing status changes using Kronos and HR Service Center. Assist with recruiting, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions. Complete paperwork and reports as required or requested with due diligence. Communicate with team on new or updated policies and procedures. Plan and conducts new employee orientation to foster cheerful outlook toward company goals. Coordinate and conduct training for Lear employees and staff regarding compliance/ethics, Expect Respect, safety, etc. Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Maintain the confidentiality of the HR department regarding employee disclosures and issues. Manage daily operations of a Lear satellite plant and report up to the main HR Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2 – 4 years prior human resources experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of the operational characteristics, services, and activities of a comprehensive human resources program as needed to assist in setting and achieving departmental goals
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
