About The Position

Groundswell is seeking a n HR Intern to help support Groundswell’s internal labor compliance and employee relations operations . This role is responsible for carrying out preliminary research, documenting meeting mi n utes , and assisting with audit and annual filing preparations , da ta anal ysis and policy mo ni toring . The ideal candidate has an interest in labor law, understanding how statute s and regulations influence policy, an analytical mindset, and a willingness to take on challenges. This role sits in the People Operations team reporting to the Lead of the Benefits Center of Excellence.

Ability to translate policy into process and employee communications
Active enrollment in an undergraduate degree program.
Must be local to the DC Metro area.
The role is 5 days a week, with a minimum of 3 days a week on site at our Mclean, VA office.
Typical hours are 9am-5pm ET.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support for HR compliance initiatives and special projects as assigned and overseen by senior team members.
Maintain organized files, trackers, and logs related to compliance activities subject to review.
Documentation, filing , standardizing contract language for consistency
Participate in meetings, trainings , or briefings related to HR compliance as an observer or note-taker under senior guidance.
Conduct research and gather information on state and federal statutes/regulations related to labor practices.
Physically and electronically filling and storing documentation.
Creating Job Aids and Stand Operating Procedure Documents .
Other duties as assigned .
