About The Position
The Director of Human Resources at Elevate Outdoor Collective is a pivotal role responsible for leading the North American HR operations across Canada and the USA. This position requires a strategic partner who will work closely with the leadership team to build a robust HR infrastructure that supports the entire employee life cycle. The Director will be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the organization, ensuring that the HR function is of the highest quality and equipped with the necessary technology, systems, and tools to support policies, procedures, and guidelines effectively. In this role, the Director will ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian laws and regulations, managing labor and employee relations issues with a balanced, fair, and objective approach. This includes utilizing appropriate counseling, investigative, intervention, and mediation techniques. A key responsibility will be to create a first-class recruiting experience through a comprehensive recruiting, selection, and onboarding program, while also partnering with management to maximize talent across the organization. The Director will lead the development and execution of employee engagement and retention strategies, including the design and implementation of training, mentoring, professional development, and succession plans. Additionally, the role involves managing the performance management process and facilitating improvements in performance management systems and training for both domestic and international staff. The Director will also support other business initiatives as assigned and collaborate across the HR Team network to meet the needs of the organization.
