Administers and oversees the human resource programs including ESH compensation, benefits, leave programs (FMLA and ADA), hospital training and development, recruitment, disciplinary matters, and investigations. Collaborates with the ESH leadership team on institution HR issues, such as coaching, and proactive interventions. Ensures proper implementation of HR practices to ensure consistency, legality, and within The Joint Commission standards. Designs, develops and executes projects and strategic initiatives needed to achieve HR, customer, and organization-wide goals and objectives. Works closely with managers, and UKHC HR colleagues. Has primary responsibility for bringing projects to fruition such as position management, The Joint Commission and OIG readiness, process analysis and improvement, and creation of workforce management tools. Implements and maintains compliant HR/payroll, Compensation, Leave (FML and ADA), training, OIG, JC related policies, practices, and processes. Accountable for managing project teams and timely project completion and ensures quality control of all initiatives from conception to completion, and works cooperatively with management, UK HealthCare HR, and Workforce Management to provide seamless provision of HR related services. Attains goals through knowledge of applicable regulations, as well as procedures and best practices within the project management and HR disciplines. The position reports directly to the ESH Chief Administrative Officer, with collaborative responsibility to the UK Human Resources Department and UKHC Workforce Management Department. Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
