About The Position

The position provides specialized support in HR data and records management, serving as a primary source of information for schools and departments regarding appointment and payroll policies and procedures. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
  • 2 years of experience in a large, complex Human Resources/Payroll Service Center environment.
  • Proficient in computer navigation and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of college courses in accounting, business, human resources, and/or computer science.
  • Experience in Human Capital Management (HCM), payroll, and leaves of absence.
  • Skills in Absence Management, Adaptability, Analytical Thinking, Customer-Focused, Deadline Management, Detail-Oriented, and Teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time and accurate completion of transactions/data entry in a high-volume HCM.
  • Create leave requests, submit corrections to pay and vacation balances, and process sign-on bonuses.
  • Ensure accurate application of academic appointment data to the system and various departments.
  • Adhere to University and HR regulatory standards for data management and integrity.
  • Monitor monthly reports related to minimum wage, living wage, and exempt employee salaries, resolving issues with departments.
  • Enter and audit monthly and biweekly payroll documents for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to departmental questions related to transactions.
  • Facilitate problem resolution across HR/Payroll with limited escalations.
  • Assist departments with staff salary and merit planning and conduct simple analysis to resolve issues.
  • Serve as a liaison to payroll and other areas of the university, responding to high-volume policy and procedural questions.
  • Adhere to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and communicate with Team Lead as issues arise.
  • Engage in continual improvement through ongoing training and provide backup support to the team.
