The Human Resources Coordinator position at our Homecare Agency in New Haven, CT, is a part-time role designed for individuals who are passionate about human resources and want to contribute to a supportive work environment. In the recruitment and hiring aspect, the HR Coordinator will facilitate the entire hiring process, which includes pre-employment screening, interviewing candidates, extending job offers, and conducting background checks. The role also involves outreach for recruitment, targeting both current and potential candidates, and creating effective job announcements to attract qualified applicants. Collaboration with Client Care Coordinators is essential to meet staffing needs, and the HR Coordinator will utilize metrics to evaluate recruitment efforts and adapt strategies as necessary. Additionally, managing an active employee roster with a focus on engagement is a key responsibility. Compliance is another critical area of focus for the HR Coordinator. The individual will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date HR records, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards, including I-9 forms and confidential records. The use of technology for compliance tracking and reminders is expected, along with coordinating mandatory training and certifications for employees. Regular audits of employee files will be conducted in collaboration with the operations manager to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Company regulations. Other duties may include handling data entry in employment, payroll, and scheduling systems, organizing annual employee in-service programs with support from the Client Care Coordinator team, and undertaking additional responsibilities as needed. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in office administration or human resources, who possesses excellent organizational and communication skills, and is proficient in MS Office.
