About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator II at Capital City Fruit plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by managing essential HR functions. This entry-level position is designed for individuals passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture and eager to grow their careers in Human Resources. The coordinator will be involved in HRIS management, recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, and employee engagement initiatives, contributing to the overall improvement of employment policies and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of HR experience or 3 years of administrative work in an office environment preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution is a plus.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with an HRIS system and common HR metrics (Time to Fill, Turnover, Tenure).
  • Excellent customer service and follow-through skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead the recruitment and staffing lifecycle, including attending job fairs, screening applications, and conducting interviews.
  • Maintain records management and retention policies to ensure compliance and organization.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the payroll team to resolve payroll and timecard issues.
  • Manage various employee engagement events and training projects.
  • Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as LEAN/SIGMA/5s.
