About The Position

The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for managing internal HR functions while collaborating with an external HR firm for specialized tasks. This role oversees the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and reconciling accounts. The position also focuses on employee engagement and fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year's experience relevant to the responsibilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of HR compliance and employment laws.
  • Ability to be decisive; evaluating tasks, duties, projects or people using good judgment and decision-making skills especially related to professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage daily activities to ensure timely and accurate results.
  • Skilled in operating office equipment and strong skills in utilizing word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data.

Responsibilities

  • Processes weekly payroll and administers employee benefits programs; handles employee inquiries related to benefits.
  • Processes invoices, schedules and processes payments, and maintains detailed transaction records while maintaining professional communication with vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
  • Facilitates the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation and training coordination.
  • Completes and submits paperwork to external agencies including worker's compensation claims, unemployment claims, verification of employment, etc.
  • Maintains up-to-date personnel information and files.
  • Maintains the organizational staffing chart.
  • Serves as the primary onsite contact for HR issues and employee complaints.
  • Manages client appreciation initiatives such as the sending of gifts and cards.
  • Fosters a positive work environment and promotes company culture initiatives by spearheading employee engagement efforts including monthly meal days, holiday celebrations, and employee recognition programs.
  • Maintains inventory of company swag, including t-shirts, hats, hoodies, and anniversary gifts.
  • Participates in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
