About The Position

The position plays a key supportive role in the screening and onboarding arrangements for staffing needs. It involves reviewing applications and conducting phone screens of candidates for employment, assisting the recruitment team with sourcing efforts, and coordinating onboarding requirements and appointments for new staff. The role also includes placing new hire check-in calls one to three months following start dates to obtain employees' feedback, find out how they are assimilating in their new roles, and answer questions. Additionally, the position assists with advertising and job postings, handles details related to external advertising, and creates new and updates existing job posting templates that adhere to SPHS branding standards. The individual will serve as the point of contact for career fairs for assigned programs and represent the organization at these events. This includes identifying appropriate career fairs to meet recruitment goals, arranging representation and coverage by the recruitment team and SPHS program managers, handling all details related to registration, set-up, and billing, tracking attendance and turnout, and reporting back on the success rate of each event. The role also involves meeting with new hires to facilitate the onboarding process and ensure compliance with new hire requirements.

Requirements

  • Position requires Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field of study.
  • Additional 4 years of HR experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree; APHR certification preferred.
  • Work requires 6-12 months of related HR experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to compose clear communications.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Attention to accurate detail and timely follow through in past work experience.
  • Experience with an electronic applicant tracking system is preferred.
  • Analytical ability sufficient to extract information from written material, observation, and interviews for screening and recommending qualified applicants.
