About The Position

The HR Coordinator (Student Employment, Payroll, Benefits) at Wentworth Institute of Technology is a vital role within the Office of Human Resources, focusing on the administration of the full employee life cycle, particularly in student employment, payroll, and benefits functions. This position requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual who can support the HR team in ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations while optimizing the employee experience through effective use of the Workday Enterprise modules. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing employee profiles, job assignments, and payroll information, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with the HR team to implement HR policies and procedures. In this role, the HR Coordinator will utilize Workday to manage various HR operations, including processing new hires, I-9 processing, and payroll administration. The coordinator will also oversee the offboarding process, ensuring proper documentation and record updates. Additionally, the position involves responding to employee inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with internal and external audits. The HR Coordinator will play a key role in student employment by documenting policies, providing guidance to students and supervisors, and managing student employee records in Workday. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with students, faculty, staff, and external vendors. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are essential.
