About the position

As an HR Coordinator, you will be the operational backbone of our consulting team, ensuring the seamless execution of HR processes for our diverse small business clients. You will be a critical player in managing administrative tasks, maintaining data integrity, and supporting our consultants in delivering exceptional service. This role is perfect for a highly organized and tech-savvy professional who thrives on creating efficiency and has a passion for the details that drive successful HR functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support HR Consultants by managing the administrative and logistical aspects of client projects, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and tracking action items.
  • Process and Maintain HR Data with a high degree of accuracy across various HR systems, including managing employee onboarding and offboarding, processing status changes, and ensuring all records are up-to-date for our clients.
  • Coordinate New Hire Onboarding by preparing and distributing new hire paperwork, scheduling orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for our clients' new employees.
  • Assist with HR Functions by gathering data for payroll processing, supporting benefits administration during open enrollment and for new hires, and tracking leave of absence requests.
  • Serve as a First Point of Contact for routine employee inquiries on behalf of clients, providing prompt and helpful answers or escalating issues to the appropriate consultant when necessary.
  • Help Ensure Compliance by maintaining I-9 records, tracking required training, and assisting with the preparation of routine HR compliance reports and filings.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in an HR coordination role, preferably within an HR department or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for growing your career in HR.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a keen eye for detail; you are someone who loves checklists, processes, and getting things right.
  • Strong proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly. High level of comfort with Google Suite and modern productivity tools (Slack, Asana, Zoom, etc.) is required.
  • Proven examples of leveraging AI to solve HR tasks.
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems is a major plus, with particular preference for experience with Gusto.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced, client-focused environment with empathy and care.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues with the utmost integrity and discretion.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $98,000 - $115,000/year in Denver and most other major cities, and $119,000 - $140,000/year for New York & San Francisco.
