The HR Compliance Analyst - Union Administrator supports the consistent and compliant application of HR policies and processes across the organization. This role is responsible for conducting investigations into employee concerns, advising HR partners on compliance and policy-related matters, and supporting risk mitigation efforts in alignment with federal, state, and local laws. The HR Compliance Analyst partners closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, and Compliance to help ensure fair treatment of employees and sound decision-making in employee relations and compliance cases. Location: This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze issues, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of HR, compliance, or employment‑law‑related experience.
  • Experience in complex regulatory environments.
  • Experience supporting employee relations or internal investigations.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR, SHRM‑CP, or advanced compliance certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor federal, state, and local employment law changes (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, state wage‑hour laws) and recommend necessary updates to policies and practices.
  • Maintain compliance calendars, audit schedules, Union administration and documentation requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits of HR files, I‑9s, payroll practices, timekeeping, and other compliance‑sensitive areas.
  • Identify potential compliance gaps and partner with HR leadership to remediate issues.
  • Educate HR partners and leaders on new regulatory requirements and risk‑prevention practices.
  • Prepare compliance reports, audit summaries, and risk assessments for HR leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and secure records in accordance with legal and company requirements.
  • Support reporting obligations related to EEO‑1, VETS, OSHA, or other compliance reporting, as applicable.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter resource on HR compliance matters.
  • Assist with special projects involving compliance, systems enhancements, or regulatory changes.
