About The Position

The HR Compensation & Benefits Analyst at Celestica is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support, particularly in the areas of compensation and benefits. This role involves acting as a first-level contact for technical issues, clarifying policies, resolving escalated issues, and participating in compensation surveys. The analyst will also manage vendor relationships, conduct audits, and support integration projects related to benefits and compensation.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of relevant experience in HR compensation and benefits.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Significant knowledge of government legislation impacting human resources management.
  • Knowledge of company HR policies and practices, labor movement, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Knowledge of HRIS software and computer applications such as Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good public presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal customers.
  • Ability to conduct thorough internal investigations and provide practical recommendations.
  • Ability to evaluate multiple detailed tasks and organize work for timely project completion.
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee information confidentially.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with compensation software administration.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and compliance auditing.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as first-level contact for technical and escalated compensation and/or benefits issues.
  • Clarifies policies and procedures; provides instruction, counsel, and possibly training regarding compensation and/or benefit plans.
  • Resolves escalated issues or routes as appropriate to the correct contact.
  • Studies and analyzes jobs and prepares written job descriptions.
  • Provides guidance and advice to newly acquired sites to transition employees into Celestica's job descriptions and structures.
  • Works with managers to deploy annual salary structures, merit increase plans or other plans related to employee compensation.
  • Documents compensation policies and guidelines and assists managers in their deployment.
  • Participates in compensation surveys.
  • Provides systems administration and support for compensation software; generates various compensation reports.
  • Audits HR Service Center and vendor compliance with established benefit processes/contractual agreements.
  • Creates and runs reports in support of audit activities.
  • Conducts routine and ad-hoc benefit audits and summarizes findings for management.
  • Follows up on findings to ensure appropriate corrective action is initiated.
  • Acts as primary contact for managing day-to-day vendor relationship issues.
  • Resolves escalated compensation benefits issues related to outside vendors.
  • Reviews vendor contracts for compliance with coverage agreements and recommends signature to management.
  • Maintains vendor contract files and ensures contracts are received annually.
  • Compiles and maintains documentation of processes related to claim filing, billing, enrollment, eligibility, and contact information for new vendors.
  • Provides technical project support for integration of acquisitions and annual open enrollment activities.
