About The Position

The HR Clerk provides administrative support to the HR Manager and HR Generalist across all aspects of the human resource function. Key responsibilities include assisting with New Employee Orientation, which involves benefit review, application support, and translation for Spanish-speaking new hires. The role also entails translating all plant communication documents and training materials, assisting the HR team with employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality, and facilitating bilingual communication for trainings. Additionally, the HR Clerk supports the pre-employment hiring process by scheduling interviews, managing job postings, and conducting screenings including background checks. The position is responsible for managing the Attendance Program, providing timely corrective actions, and tracking FMLA and Short-Term Disability requests with effective communication. Other duties include organizing and maintaining employment files, filing documents according to standards, actively participating in production floor communication, conducting plant tours as needed, and managing locker assignments and inspections. The role requires flexibility in work schedule to support employee assistance and communication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a HR capacity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software.
  • Bilingual; English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the HR Manager and HR Generalist with administrative support in all aspects of the human resource function.
  • Assists with New Employee Orientation including benefit review, application overview and support for all employees, including translation for Spanish speaking New Hires.
  • Responsible for the translation of all plant communication documents including training material.
  • Assists HR team with employee concerns and obtains employee statements with confidentiality.
  • Helps translate and engage in bilingual communication for trainings.
  • Assists with pre-employment hiring process including scheduling of interviews, job postings and screenings including background checks.
  • Responsible for managing the Attendance Program and provides timely attendance corrective actions including collection of the correction actions from Supervisors.
  • Responsible for providing FMLA request documents and tracking of FMLA and Short-Term Disability including effective communication with all parties.
  • Responsible for the organization of employment files and proper record keeping.
  • Files documents according to standards.
  • Active participation in walking the production floor as needed for employee communication.
  • Participates in plant tours as needed.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of locker assignments and locker cleanup including inspections when needed.
  • Ability to be flexible in work schedule to support employee assistance and communication.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.
