About The Position

Branch Group is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our growing team. In this role, one will serve as a liaison between central HR and the business units, collaborating with a diverse staff of approximately 1300 employee owners- from field laborers to superintendents, project managers, and senior leaders. The HRBP will provide trusted guidance on a range of HR functions, including employee relations, change management, compliance, progressive discipline, performance management and succession planning. This position reports to the Director of HR Business Partners and will be part of a maturing HR team which includes Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Business Partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business-related field with a minimum of five years in the field of Human Resources
  • At least two years in a business partner, generalist or similar role
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality, with a strong ethical approach to handling sensitive information
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including talent management, employee development, engagement, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compliance, and compensation
  • A proven track record of identifying and aligning HR goals and objectives with business goals combined with a strong understanding of business concepts and key business drivers
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others to influence and implement HR processes, strategies, and programs
  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks to meet requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to manage competing demands while being adaptable and flexible
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to leverage new technology to improve HR processes and efficiencies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • CP/SCP (PHR/SPHR) or other HR certification
  • Master's degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • Proven skill in handling complex employee relations
  • Demonstrated ability with training and development programs

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality while cultivating strong, trusting relationships throughout the organization
  • Provide consultative support on key HR initiatives, including employee relations, change management, compliance, performance management and succession planning across business units
  • Collaborate with both safety and benefits teams to address matters related to leaves of absence, workers' compensation claims, unemployment hearings, and accommodation requests, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and all relevant federal and state laws
  • Respond to employee relations concerns in a balanced, fair, and objective manner, using effective counseling, investigative, intervention and mediation techniques
  • Build credibility with field personnel by visiting job sites to better understand the industry and unique facets of each business unit in efforts to partner on strategic objectives
  • Lead change management initiatives, guiding the organization through transformation and helping employees embrace new processes and structures
  • Deliver training and provide guidance on HR-related programs, such as Performance Management, Career Planning, and department-specific development initiatives
  • Actively participate in, facilitate, and/or manage HR-related activities and special projects as assigned, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  • Establish and maintain trusted consultative relationship with the business unit supervisors and managers, through timely and appropriate response and pro-active communication

  • Full-time position with expected hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
