About The Position

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) at Harvard Law School is responsible for providing strategic human resources consulting services to business leaders. This role focuses on employee relations, organizational design, change management, performance management, and diversity initiatives, aiming to enhance the work environment and support business strategy through effective people management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 7 years' relevant HR experience.
  • Master's degree in relevant field and/or professional HR certification is desirable.
  • Progressive experience with an emphasis on business partnership and HR generalist roles.
  • Solid financial/business acumen with advanced knowledge of employment law and HR policies.
  • Ability to operationalize business strategy through effective management of people and programs.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, strategic human resources consulting services to business leaders.
  • Advise leaders on identifying, prioritizing, and building organizational and workforce capabilities.
  • Establish partnerships with assigned departments for proactive planning and collaboration.
  • Guide business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Support leaders in resolving employee relations concerns and performance management.
  • Advise on best practices and present options for achieving desired results.
  • Partner with managers and staff to address workplace challenges and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Share responsibility for commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB).
