About The Position

The HR Business Partner plays a crucial role in supporting various HR functions including succession planning, change management, workforce planning, and talent management. This position is responsible for enhancing organizational development programs, improving training plans, and ensuring effective HR service delivery to assigned functional units. The HR Business Partner will also mentor less experienced associates and facilitate performance management processes, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Instructional Design or related field required OR 3+ years of related experience required.
  • Good knowledge of organizational development theories and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills to gather and summarize training data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on important issues.
  • Proven ability to foster and maintain relationships in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong customer service skills and a service-oriented mindset.
  • Proven resourcefulness in finding solutions to unique problems.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to maximize benefits for all sides.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while performing daily duties.
  • Ability to train or transfer knowledge to less experienced associates.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and facilitates activities related to performance and development of management organizational development.
  • Supports the annual performance management process, including communications and system readiness.
  • Delivers group and individual training across various functional areas.
  • Oversees the quality of training sessions delivered by external vendors.
  • Collects data to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Enhances existing curriculum to meet departmental needs.
  • Analyzes training and development needs for individuals and departments.
  • Facilitates team building and changes in organizational behavior.
  • Conducts interviews to gather performance-related information.
  • Coordinates nominations for the High Talent Development Program.
  • Administers surveys and assessments to understand organizational conditions.
  • Provides HR assistance to business units to meet customer needs.
  • Improves business performance by partnering with management and associates.
  • Interprets and explains HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepares reports to support the development of HR solutions and programs.
  • Anticipates short-term HR needs and trends with management.
  • Supports strong associate relations through fact-finding conversations.
  • Represents management and associate perspectives in policy recommendations.
  • Fosters company culture through coordinating activities and events.
  • Completes assigned tasks related to group projects and may lead some projects.
