About The Position

HR Business Partner (BP) for Royal Canin North America is responsible for one or more sites (factories). The BP acts as a member of the site leadership teams, supporting the creation and execution of local people strategies, leading change initiatives, and driving the talent agenda and engagement at a strategic level. The BP ensures effective two-way communication with Center of Excellence (CoEs). Additionally, the BP has the ownership to co-design and co-implement the Mars Associate Experience, serving as a guardian of the Five Principles, signature processes, and governance procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field required
  • 3+ years of progressive P&O/HR experience
  • Solid knowledge of US labor regulations and understanding their application in solving business needs
  • Stakeholder management and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Able to solve challenges with a data mindset
  • Good business acumen / business experience
  • Strong consulting skills and ability to influence decisions
  • Ability to effectively manage and work within ambiguity and prioritize business needs and resources

Nice To Haves

  • Master / Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related fields
  • 3+ years of manufacturing setting experience preferred
  • Previous Talent Acquisition experience

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations business leaders to achieve goals aligned with the people agenda, provide thought leadership to the business and ensure associate advocacy.
  • Drive a talent pipeline and strategy that supports growth and Associate development/engagement.
  • Keep a 'pulse' of the business and develop appropriate OD interventions that strengthen the health of the organization and enable a high-performing culture.
  • Manage or deliver unit-specific projects to drive change and transformation, embed the adoption of Mars signature people programs and Essence of Mars.
  • Guide, support and position the MyP&O team and LMs to most effectively and efficiently support Associates.
  • Partner with the Royal Canin North America and Global P&O teams to establish and achieve short and long-term goals to drive business success.
