Oneida Health is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing HR team. This role plays a key part in supporting our supervisors, managers, and employees through recruitment, onboarding, training human resources compliance, and employee relations while helping ensure a positive and compliant workplace environment. This position is required to understand the importance of confidentiality, and collaboration in a healthcare setting and brings hands-on experience supporting supervisors, managers, and employees throughout the full employee lifecycle while ensuring consistent application of Oneida Health policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a generalist or business partner role
  • 2-5 year experience in a healthcare setting desired
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for clinical and non-clinical positions, ensuring hiring practices align with Oneida Health policies and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, competencies, and licensure or certification requirements
  • Coordinate job postings, applicant tracking, interview scheduling, offers, and pre-employment documentation in accordance with Oneida Health hiring standards
  • Conduct or coordinate background checks and employment eligibility verifications consistent with healthcare regulations and organizational policy
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure employees meet required training, licensure, and compliance standards prior to patient-facing duties
  • Review, track, and ensure accuracy with employee records
  • Review, maintain and track employee records related to new hire onboarding and off boarding
  • Assist with the administration of HR programs including compensation support, , performance management, training and development and employee engagement initiatives in alignment with Oneida Health policies and procedures
  • Assist the benefits team with assigned tasks while maintaining clear role separation from benefits administration
  • Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, supervisors, and managers in a timely, professional, and confidential manner while ensuring consistent interpretation and application of Oneida Health policies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with healthcare privacy laws and Oneida Health recordkeeping standards
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, accreditation requirements, and Oneida Health policies and procedures
  • Stay current on HR best practices, regulatory updates, and emerging trends impacting healthcare workforce management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
