About The Position

Job Summary: The HR Business Partner will support the business by providing exceptional employee and leadership support and executing all people-related processes. You will support the services of the HR centers of excellence (Talent, L&D, Pay & Benefits) and partner with business leaders to implement and execute HR initiatives that support the business strategy.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish is required
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Solid problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a diplomatic approach to handling sensitive situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Proven ability to create presence in the business and apply advocacy skills to position HR as a strategic business partner.
  • Experience in recruiting and talent acquisition strategies, including sourcing techniques and applicant tracking systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant HR Experience
  • Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)
  • Participate in company GMP walks
  • Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring
  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain relationships with other HR functions through collaboration and teamwork and support project work as needed.
  • Partner with leaders to advance our culture that allows our people and business to grow and thrive.
  • Leads the employee relations process including investigations and legal filings. Provides guidance to both employees and management to resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner. Keeps records of employee relations issues to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to develop, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures. Stay abreast of federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and guidelines, including those enforced by the NLRB, EEOC, and IDHR. Ensure that organizational policies and practices align with legal requirements and industry best practices to minimize risks and liabilities.
  • Serve as an advocate for employees, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed appropriately. Provide guidance on employee rights, benefits, and resources available to support their well-being.
  • Lead and manage full-cycle recruiting for hourly Operations roles, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting initial phone screens, coordinating onsite interviews for hiring managers, and preparing offers. Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver a positive candidate experience.
  • Develop insights and action plans from people data (floor walks, engagement survey, exit interview, etc.) to help create talent acquisition, development and retention strategies.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with the HR teams at our Temporary Staffing Agency partners to ensure timely resolutions to our temporary workforce.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
