About The Position

Ace Electric, an electrical contractor established in 1975, is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their Human Resources team. The company delivers high-quality electrical installations across diverse industries such as healthcare, education, hospitality, and mission-critical facilities, and is experiencing rapid growth. The ideal candidate will bring strategic HR expertise to fast-paced, dynamic environments and will have supported complex projects through effective workforce planning and talent initiatives. This role is crucial in helping Ace Electric build a workforce to power its future, with potential locations in Valdosta, Atlanta, or Ohio.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience with employee relations, investigations and onboarding.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
  • Able to demonstrate basic computer and keyboard skills to include MS Office Suite.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain required levels of confidentiality when entrusted with sensitive business, customer, or employee related information.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to maintain high levels of productivity, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Effective and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to analyze HR data and metrics to drive strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR analytics tools.

Nice To Haves

  • HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly meets with assigned Division(s) to understand staffing needs.
  • Assists hiring managers with scheduling interviews for qualified candidates.
  • Conducts reference or background checks on job applicants.
  • Processes, tracks, and maintains onboarding paperwork for assigned Division.
  • Consults with Division management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
  • Assists the Human Resources Director with employee relations issue and investigations.
  • Maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using HR management system software and paper filing system.
  • Participates with special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
