This position is responsible for supporting designated departments as a strategic partner at the Store Support Center (SSC). The role provides leadership and partnership to department leaders while leading HR strategies and initiatives that positively impact overall business performance and HR metrics. The individual in this position will partner with the company's most senior executives as a trusted advisor, providing counsel and feedback, managing conflict, and ensuring continuous upgrade of the leaders' capabilities and the overall work environment. The essential duties include consulting with department and senior leadership on the planning and execution of people strategies and programs that align with the company's mission and values. The role requires taking ownership and accountability for key business departments by providing recommendations to guide decision-making regarding organization structure, retention, promotions, compensation, talent development, and other employee-related activities. Additionally, the position involves facilitating talent management reviews and initiatives, including performance management, 9-block talent reviews, and other performance management processes. The HR partner will consult with team members and department managers on a wide variety of issues, including training needs, performance management, policy interpretations, career development, leadership skills, conflict management, and other issues impacting productivity and morale. The individual will also provide input into the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures and their distribution. Acting as a change agent, the HR partner will align HR strategy with department priorities to drive business results throughout the stores. Conducting thorough and confidential investigations in partnership with the Employee Relations department and advising managers and team members on benefits and compensation-related matters to retain key talent are also key responsibilities.
