About The Position

The HR Business Partner at Land O'Lakes, Inc. is a foundational leadership role focused on implementing business strategies across Purina Animal Nutrition/Omnium Sites. This position is responsible for enhancing employee experience, fostering positive employee relations, and supporting plant leadership in achieving business goals. The role requires strategic and tactical engagement with HR peers to drive continuous improvement and world-class results in various operational aspects.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3 years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a manufacturing/production environment (union/non-union).
  • Proven business acumen to understand business drivers and connect with operational needs.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Labor Laws.
  • Experience engaging with employees at all levels in a facility.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Human Resources, Employee/Labor Relations, or a related field.
  • 5 years' experience in multi-site manufacturing/production operations.
  • Human Resources certification (SPHR, PHR) preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll and Workday (ERP) systems.
  • Project management experience applicable to Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to drive recruiting strategies for both salaried and hourly positions, focusing on diversity and inclusion goals.
  • Support Operations leadership in the selection process, including interviewing and assessing candidates.
  • Implement corporate-wide programs related to performance management, talent and succession planning, and career development.
  • Analyze training needs and deliver training while ensuring compliance and securing corporate training resources.
  • Foster a positive employee environment through effective communication and collaboration with leaders and employees.
  • Coach leaders on employee engagement and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Provide guidance on labor laws and ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence on various initiatives.
