About The Position

Aids the SDS HR Department in the day-to-day coordination, execution, and implementation of all the human resources functions, including but not limited to workers compensation, leave of absence, attendance policies, benefits administration, orientation, employee events, and onboarding. Assist in providing direct HR support to employees, Department Managers, and Department leads. Works closely with the HR Business Partner team to provide support with basic employee relations issues in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and in alignment with company policy.

Requirements

  • High School diploma / GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources or related field preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • PHR Certification or SHRM-CP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the SDS HR Business Partner Team, including maintaining accurate employee files and administering the SDS Attendance Policies.
  • Facilitates the Leave of Absence (LOA), Short Term Disability (STD) and Workers Compensations process by collaborating with the Sheetz Corporate Leave of Absence and Legal Teams.
  • Provides high quality customer service by assisting in, responding to, and resolving human resource needs daily.
  • Assists with the coordination of the Talent Acquisition process, including new hire onboarding, orientation and ongoing training programs for employees.
  • Support and organize employee events including but not limited to: Holiday Events, Engagement Events, and Sheetz for the Kidz events, etc.
  • Provide support to the HR Business Partner team in the investigation and resolution to basic employee relations issues.
  • Assists with human resources-related report preparation and delivery.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
