The Human Resources Department at Union Health is looking for team members for the Terre Haute campus. Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills utilizing various software packages.
  • Typing skills at 50 wpm necessary.
  • Course work in secretarial science or equivalent education of experience.
  • Must meet and deal successfully with a wide variety of people.
  • Must be accomplished in written and verbal business communication.
  • At least one (1) yr secretarial experience.
  • Flexible to meet departmental needs.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates activity flow in the office.
  • Organizes individual work schedule in a systematic manner, taking into consideration priorities identified by the staff in the Human Resources Department.
  • Assesses priorities regarding applicants, appointments, typing communications, etc.
  • Performs designated activities including personal computer and various other office equipment.
  • Performs back up duties as requested, i.e., pulls files, forwards information, facilities transfer or files.
  • Assists Chief HR Officer upon request as well as HR Manager-Acquisition.
  • Knowledgeable regarding hospital policy, procedures, and general information.
  • Responsible for opening front office, relief of front office staff including Payroll sign ups and phones.
  • Maintains employee records with updated information and scans all documents pertaining to the employee's personnel records.
  • Performs all functions of front desk.
  • Picks up and distributes mail for HR department, orders supply for department.
  • Tracks earnings of employee-sponsored fund-raising events.
  • Maintains contract employment documents.
  • Schedule events.
  • Copy files for attorney request.
  • Facilitate employee name changes
