About The Position

The HR Assistant at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Talent Acquisition Team by managing various administrative tasks related to the hiring process. This position involves processing new employee paperwork, maintaining HR records, and providing project support to the Human Resources Department. The HR Assistant is also responsible for ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for visitors and callers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 0-1 years related work experience required.
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Previous experience in Human Resources with knowledge of compliance activities.
  • Familiarity with various HR systems and ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the employment process by scheduling employee health screens and new employee orientations.
  • Process new employee paperwork and forms, including HR system input, offer letters, and applicant response letters.
  • Maintain confidential HR system records and compile reports as needed.
  • Provide project support for the Human Resources Department, collaborating with employees and managers.
  • Assist as a back-up for front-office coverage, ensuring timely acknowledgment of visitors and callers.
  • Assist with filing and data maintenance of documents needed for verification.
