About The Position

The HR Assistant is responsible for providing support in various human resource functions. They assist with employee onboarding, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. Additionally, they may assist with benefits administration, employee relations, and other HR-related tasks as needed. The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate HR operations to ensure a smooth and efficient HR function within the organization.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • Organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sense of urgency in the completion of duties
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Able to multitask and prioritize strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good judgment and critical thinking capabilities with a focus on detail and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees onboarding and general employee communications.
  • Oversee and collect new employee paperwork as needed for the creation of accurate and complete personnel files.
  • Assist with HR data entry into the HRIS - ADP Vantage.
  • Assist with employee benefit enrollment and communications as needed.
  • Assist and maintain employee communication methods, including mandatory postings when needed.
  • Create and/or revise a variety of Human Resources forms as needed.
  • Assist with guiding employees through various human resources processes and answering questions as needed.
  • Work closely with HR and Payroll to ensure all staff-related matters and changes are accurately communicated in the most appropriate manner.
  • Collaborate with managers and employees to develop and interpret and communicate HR programs, policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Ensure hard copy and electronic filing are current and in line with standard procedures and legal guidelines.
  • Undertake specific projects and other ad-hoc tasks as directed by the HR and Payroll staff.
