About The Position

The HR Assistant Translator at Stoughton Trailers LLC serves as the primary HR contact for employees, supervisors, and visitors, facilitating day-to-day operations within the Human Resources and EHS department. This role involves maintaining essential recordkeeping, assisting with employee inquiries, and translating HR and safety documents from English to Spanish.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

  • Familiarity with safety audits and training documentation.
  • Event planning experience for employee celebrations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first HR contact for employees, supervisors, and visitors.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources & EHS department.
  • Enter and maintain required recordkeeping for all EHS managers, including OPMS, training documents, and weekly safety audits.
  • Answer employee questions regarding benefits, shift changes, promotions, appraisals/pay changes, employee status, direct deposit, leave of absence, attendance, and password resets.
  • Generate and assist with HR reports daily, weekly, or monthly as needed.
  • Conduct weekly new hire orientation.
  • Manage office supplies for the site and place orders as needed.
  • Create new badges and manage replacement badges plant-wide.
  • Process terminations, job transfers, and employee wage changes in the HRIS system.
  • Coordinate and organize anniversary and retirement celebrations, including ordering checks for anniversary employees.
  • Maintain I-9 documentation and process E-Verify.
  • Review uniform invoices in the OnBase system and send for approval.
  • Create new employee electronic personnel files and maintain record keeping of all personnel files and their contents.
  • Assist employees with the leave of absence process and benefits enrollment.
  • Distribute employee notices/communication throughout the plants and maintain announcement boards.
  • Process reimbursement of Canteen vending machines and verify employment for outside agencies through fax or phone calls.
  • Respond to unemployment questionnaires from the state unemployment agency.
  • Translate HR and Safety documents, handouts, signage, and other required employee communication from English to Spanish.
  • Assist with company functions or celebrations, such as employee appreciation and holiday parties.
  • Coordinate recognition of employees' life events and milestones.
