About The Position

The HR Application Specialist at Kalamazoo RESA is responsible for supporting and enhancing the user applications utilized by the Human Resources Department and Business Office. This role focuses on managing employee data through various applications, ensuring a user-friendly experience, and implementing system improvements. The specialist will work closely with users to streamline processes, maintain data integrity, and provide technical support for HR and Business Office applications.

Requirements

  • Associates degree plus one to three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous HRIS experience, preferably in PowerSchool ERP and/or Unified Talent applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with users to identify and implement system improvements and oversee projects that streamline HR and BO processes.
  • Maintain data in employee systems including Power School ERP, Unified Talent, and TimeClock Plus.
  • Serve as a knowledge expert in HR and BO data, responding to requests for information by creating and delivering custom reports.
  • Complete new employee setup and changes in various applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the annual employee contract renewal process, ensuring calendars and salary schedules are updated and accurate.
  • Design and facilitate systems-related training and documentation for end users.
  • Continuously audit and improve data quality and integrity.
  • Work with HR and BO team members to develop unified data practices, procedures, and protocols.
  • Deliver technical support for system issues and track help desk tickets for resolution.
  • Respond to compensation surveys to ensure access to current market compensation data.
  • Prepare and submit annual EEO-5 and biannual demographic reports, supporting ABAR work with demographic data.
  • Keep up-to-date with state and regional updates and training.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance.
