About The Position

David Stanley Chevrolet is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR and Payroll professional to manage the human resources and payroll functions for the dealership. This role is crucial in supporting and empowering employees to achieve success within the organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in HR and/or payroll administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • SHRM or PHR certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, including calculating wages, taxes, and deductions
  • Administer employee benefits programs and serve as the main point of contact for benefits-related inquiries
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in all HR and payroll systems
  • Coordinate with department managers to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention
  • Assist with other HR-related projects and duties as needed
