About The Position

Join our OD team at Hartlepool Borough Council and make a significant impact on our services that support the local community. We are looking for a flexible, creative individual with strong HR/OD business partner skills. The OD Team collaborates with managers to enhance service delivery through various developments tailored to your skill set and interests. Our current focus areas include workforce planning, strategic recruitment, equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), wellbeing and engagement, supporting apprentices, and system developments. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to expand your experience and skills while working on diverse projects.

Requirements

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification in HR/OD.
  • Experience as a business partner in either the private or public sector.
  • Strong HR/OD business partner skills.
  • Ability to coach and develop managers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with managers to drive service improvements.
  • Focus on workforce planning and strategic recruitment.

  • Coach and develop managers' people practices across the Council.
